[Garda] Cavalry called in

No doubt it seemed like a good idea at the time.. and it probably is.. but I’d suggest they’re regretting the choice of location. BTW.. love that line Borrowed from the Garda Siochana in Dublin for two days.. Do the DUP know about this?

Bit like shutting the barn door after the horses have bolted! Oh dear – Apologies!!

  • Pat Mc Larnon

Leave it to the hapless PSNI, 3 days after the robbery Sheriff Mc Causland starts rounding up a posse.

I wonder are these the culprits behind that great, big, steaming pile of horsecrap I just had to negotiate in Royal Avenue (and no, I’m not referring to Bill Lowry).

  • Davros

You missed a chance there Dec- go back and bag it, makes a wonderful Christmas gift for any friends keen on Gardening!

  • Dec

Sorry Dav. I’m all out of…err…black bin bags…ahem.

Mounted Police Officers are a proven and effective method used in Glasgow, London and Dublin. Good to see the PSNI trying new things and working with the Garda.

  • Davros

Alan- not that new πŸ™‚ The RIC had Mounted Officers

Thinking back to the Patten Report and its recommendation that the PSNI and the Garda should exchange personnel I assumed it would be Garda boots pounding the beat in Belfast not hooves.

  • GavBelfast

    More gimmickry.

They seem good at that (anyway) at Chez-PSNI.

  • Davros

Gimmickry ? Are you talking of the antique “bugs” that Sinn FΓ©in claimed to have found ? πŸ˜‰ I wonder what happened to those ? Have they been put on dispaly at Conway Mill ?

  • Jonathan McCullough

I hope the provos don’t kill those horses! It’s something they are fond of doing if one takes a trip down memory lane.
