Record price for rare Irish document…

A COPY of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic has been sold at auction for almost 400,000 euros.

Interesting difference between the stories from that auction : The Irish Independent reports that “Nothing Has Changed ” by Jack B yeats did not sell, whereas UTV reports “Nothing Is Changed” sold for €260,000.

The Proclamation is a certainty to increase in value in the coming years. Great investment and probably cheap at the price.

For your information the credit for the most expensive piece of toilet paper actually goes to the jewellery and gold retailer Hang Fung Gold Technology.
And i’m 100% positive they didn’t actually use toilet paper for the proclamation.

  • Davros

They have flooded the market – another copy ( signed this time ) only went for €260,000.

where are all these copies coming from?

I thought there was only about ten original ones left, and they were owned by the museum, kilmainham gaol and Trinity College.
