The price of 'friendship' in Belfast…

More Belfast fun with ebay. Ahem. This young woman is, em, offering her friendship, to the em, highest bidder. At time of writing, £15 is the lead bid. Thanks for the heads up Mark.

    Description: Item Specifics: Condition: New

The world is obviously a very lonely place for some people…

  • peteb

The assumption being made is that the young woman pictured is the person who placed the ‘item’ on Ebay.. an assumption that, I’d suspect, is not wholly justified.

  • Davros

OK, I’m a prude, but I thought it disgraceful that e bay would allow that one to run. Good point pete.

Ebay has no ethics. Anything for a buck for them.

She seems a little chunky. According to Wired magazine, 70% of internet chatters ( she wants to give out her messenger) are of the Rubenesque persuassion.

Why would anyone pay for a friendship that they can obtain in those silly chat rooms filled with obnoxious smileys?

  • Roger W. Christ XVII

She’s not selling herself, just her “friendship”. TBH I’ve no reason to believe it’s a euphemism for anything else. I think it’s a bit cheeky and she’s probably just doing it to make money for nothing.

There was a case about a year ago where a person actually did prostitute herself on Ebay.

  • PS

Almost certain this is a hoax between friends and meant to be just a bit of craic.

  • Donnie

I know the girl. Student prank I would say.

  • Belfast Gonzo

    It’s up to £25.

Stephen Warke must be desperate not to be lonely this Christmas(!)

  • davidbrew

if Young Unionist Stephen Warke is that deperate to increase their membership they must be in real trouble :0)

  • Butterknife

Well i would say David that at £25 she may be the cheapest bait i have seen for new recruits;0)

  • Michael Shilliday

We’ll look into selling Stephen next year!

  • Michael Shilliday

I wonder what trade descriptions would make of “condition: new”

  • feely83

The picture is me but it was all a dare, I think alot of you took it far too seriously!

  • unionist_observer

It would seem Stephen Warke did anyway!!

  • Mick Fealty

Fair play to you Ms. I had considered following suite, but I’m not sure my own photograph would attract much above the reserve of 99p!

  • Moderate Unionist

    LOL – Excellent.

  • Fraggle

feely83, I hope you enjoy your new friendship and spend your money wisely!

  • PS

Wonder how much our poltican’s would be bid for their “friendship”?!
