Mutant four-horned rams for sale

Writer, academic and literary critic Terry Eagleton has been busy. Not only has he a robust defence of the late Jacques Derrida in one section of the Guardian, but, in another, he relates how his quest for a donkey to call his own (“Gullible Sentimental Townie” that he is) left him, bloody and stunned, at a roadside in the mountains of Sligo… waiting for an ambulance.

    Great article.

I was in Sligo last Tuesday night, and was talking to an English couple who settled in Tubbercurry. Having forsaken the tyranny of the M25 and five hours a day of commuting, they now have four acres and two donkeys.

Old saying that I can verify from my Agricultural days Gerry 🙂

“Two things God never meant mankind to see – a happy farmer and a dead donkey” !
