Apparently Chamberlain had also not read that piece of paper given to him by that German chappy. If he had even glanced at it before he waved it around at Heston Aerodrome he would have known it read ” we’re heading for Poland you English swinehund”.

Given the shinners have absented themselves I suppose the understudies had to be called. Without a few thugs in suits in attendance it wouldn’t have been a proper Irish political event.

Comment on The UDA to hit Dublin. Only victims this time are morality and good taste
on 15 May 2011 at 11:26 am
Disgraceful. Who is responsible for this? Is it the Dublin Government or the Irish President’s office?
If the Southern authorities believe that this is a sop to unionist public opinion it merely serves to underline the lack of understanding of unionism that must exist in Dublin.
Either that or it illustrates Dublin’s comfort in flirting with paramilitary thugs and perhaps a desire to make the Queen’s visit as disagreeable as possible.

It is astounding that anyone should argue that the interests of historians should be placed above those of the relatives of victims seeking redress through the criminal justice system.
I applaud the authorities investigating serious crime: however old the incidents, no matter who the (alleged) perpetrators and using whatever resources available.
Should this action lead to people being more circumspect with their reminiscences so be it. The pursuit of justice must always trump academic research.

Comment on One Man One Vote… Err… Not In Belfast

At the polling station where I voted one of the electoral officers was wearing a red blouse, another had a blue coloured bangle on her wrist and the room walls were white! What chance do Nationalists have in this ‘unionist’ process?

An Irish Republican hacks through MOPE Forest, crosses the Second-Class Citizen Sea and climbs Paranoia Hill to look through his spyglass to sweep the land for any signs of rampaging Themuns doing down defenceless croppies.
As befits all good fairytales if there’s nothing to see just make it up as you go along. And they all lived unhappily ever after. The End.

oracle,
The police have a GAA team that plays as the police? Not just playing members of other GAA teams?
Is there a PSNI Orange Lodge as well?
