Draw as many Irredentist “all you’ve got left is Larne” maps as you want you’re still in a UK region. With a secretary of state the Royal mail delivering your post and the NHS stitching you up, pounds and pence still ringing through the tills.

That DUP Mayor is a useful idiot for nationalism, a traitor a bit like Rev Latimer. Both have lost all credibility.

Apart from being served green custard at School on the 17th of March, it means very little to me, It seems like a tacky excuse for a booze-up. I think the Status of St Patrick’s day should stay as it is in NI, I don’t think it warrants people getting the day off work in retail.

JR You’re straying from the point as usual, you know Turgon has no interest in quasi-political Gaelic games. it shows your juvenile mentality. Stick to the subject! you should have your account suspended.

  5. Comment on The first Armagh St Patrick’s Day’s Ulster band parade…

Changeisneeded I do not agree with your argument, people have the right to define their nationality how they wish, Changeisneeded do you believe that a Basque person is actually Spanish because they were born in Spain? if you don’t agree with that statement then you are a hypocrite. Marches where they’re not wanted? You’re like a racist Changeisneeded. Protestants live in Armagh too the streets belong to them too not just nationalists.

  6. Comment on Boris makes peace with London Irish before election day…
    on 14 March 2012 at 9:04 am

Why can’t they just be Londoners, other nationalities integrate into the society. Why do the Irish have to separate themselves off, hankering after the “old country” i.e Australia or London hanging around Irish theme pub’s. Boris didn’t mean to cause offence.

  7. Comment on UUP leadership election – the final triumph of civic Unionism?
    on 12 March 2012 at 4:01 pm

It’s a pity it wasn’t a younger person or a woman as a contender for leader of the UUP. There is too much in-fighting in the party, they need to know what they stand for as a political party, be it traditional or a liberal party, they could lose members from one of the wings but the Ulster Unionists are heading for political oblivion if they can’t decide who they are. In 2012 they can no longer be a “broad church”. There is no difference between the DUP – UUP anymore except the latter comes across as an out of touch unelectable gentleman’s club.

Why not let’s have a border poll every single year and create even more political instability!

PaddyReilly unionists would end up like the Amish community in a All Ireland gagged and supressed, economically disadvantaged, discriminated against no cultural rights, marked out as different, there would be a witch hunt against them because they supported Britain and partition. they woulden’t get jobs and if they did they’d be picked on, there would be revenge attacks against them. Their religion could be weakened with mixed marriages. It’s dosen’t matter that the Republic of Ireland is in Europe. Europe is Catholic and they’ll turn a blind eye to protestants being brutalised in a United Ireland.

I hope it’s not going to be an “all-Ireland” border poll, as only those who live and pay taxes and raise families in Northern Ireland should have a right to a say in the region’s future not some anonymous individual in Cork with no links to NI. If a border poll is imposed, unionists should refuse to take part in it, the results may be declared void if only the nationalist community participate in it.
