    Comrade,

Now you’re supporting a party which will supposedly under the control of the Tory whips in Westminster. It’s very hard for me to take the above as gospel.

Erm there is a massive difference about being under a Tory Whip and being dictated to by the OO (and believe it or not I have recently joined) & IRA as politics used to be here years ago.

DUP/SF are powerless to do anything about it

So the APNI or not relying on the votes of the DUP and SF? And so the two moderate parties of the sdlp and official Unionists are going to support David Fords nomination?

    Pull the other one.

He is being used like some of them poor Thai girls you see hanging aroung City Hall are. Only thing is Ford doesn’t even care because the DUP/SF are giving him the thing he has crazed most for years; power. Its a shame for him the real power lies with his pupper masters.

I was honestly dumbfounded when I originally heard Alliance were teaming up with the DUP/SF.

I rather suspect Alliance voters will be voting Alliance. That’s why they’re called Alliance voters.

Well in the past when I used to vote Allianceit was because they were different to the other parties which were under the control of their relavent religious denominations, now though the APNI is under the control of the DUP/SF. It is pretty much the same thing.

    Pippakin,

If I wanted to do ‘bitchy’ I would draw attention to some of the pieces on your ‘blog’, but I don’t do bitchy so I won’t say your style of writing is atrocious.

BTW yellosmurf, being Councillors are given a £9,500 ‘personal allowance’ – not bad if you can get it. A couple shifts a week in tescos would bring that up to the average income, so please do not try to dismiss it as small change.

Justin, If elected Naomi will immediately resign from the Assembly in exactly the same way that she left her job as an engineer when she was elected to the Assembly in the first place.

Has she said that publically? And what about resigning from Belfast Council? And leaving her job as an engineer is not that noteworthy, many MLA’s no doubt also left other jobs.

Where is the proof that Naomi Long is totally opposed to double, and in her case triple jobbing? I am not doubting you, I just would like to see proof.

Andrew, care to answer my questions about what you know about the Hatfield talks? Everyone who is anyone in the political field now knows almost enough to give a minute by minute run down.

What do you think of the proposals? It relates to this thread but you haven’t made the slightest comparison.

And please try not to avoid me altogether, don’t you know that is rude. Also I see you have embarked on deleting comments which are none too kind to your ‘blogging’. That demonstrates insecurity.

Btw how are all your ‘pr’ businesses doing? http://www.blogger.com/profile/02972898306227643157, why do you have so many? And don’t you think using blogspot is just damn cheap looking?

I have to say as a committed orangeman and soon to be Royal Knight of the BP, I feel disappointed with this statement.

we feel so strongly about this issue that we will direct our members and friends not to support any party that indicates they are not prepared to stand aside for an independent non-party candidate in South Belfast

Christ almightly, the OO should not be coming out with statements like this. Hopefully Drew Nelson will be on the phone shortly giving them hell.

This is nearly as ill judged as the protest against the pope.

A poor piece of journalism. There is a difference.

Instead of merely clinging onto the coat tails of a journalist maybe you would care to give us an opinion? That after all is the point of this website

You obviously do not know the details around Hatfield so at least you could maybe guess what the issues were? Or maybe you could have actually foun out by now, four months later. I thought you worked at Stormont? What do you do all day? Sit in a office looking at a wall?
