Comment on Adams ordered McConville execution, says ex-IRA leader…
on 29 March 2010 at 2:09 am
‘An injured friend is the bitterest of foes.’
With all due respect to ‘The Dark’ I am sure his sense of betrayal by comrades was hard to take. However he was not a stupid man, compromise was required and that is the art of politics no matter how brave or passionate in the struggle for freedom. In any case the Irish struggle attracted many who’s idea of liberation was to survive in the urban and rural jungles by lining their own pockets, the cause came second. Is it any wonder that these hoods are now the new ‘Rafia’.Look around at all the so-called freedom fighters who are selling the cheap fags and drink, charge the high rents as the new landed gentry. We who ask the simple questions are condemned of ‘thoughtcrime’. Socialism is a mere utopian pipedream, when you realise this is how our comrades betray us in the battles of war and peace.

Divide and conquer !
This debate will be another classic for the Irish. The brits are rolling in the aisles laughing, their cunning plans, played out again and again in the colonies. You do not hear them slagging their warriors and soldiers like this pitiful language. Get real it was a war ! A dirty war with many innocents. Idealism for idealism’s sake. Deal with reality provide solutions to change the status quo and make it even that wee bit easier to live with the betrayals on all sides.
The old line-’It’s easy to rest on another man’s wound’,springs to mind as I write.
The people in there own areas know the truth and are sick of war and all its lies.

If ‘wee’ Donzo is not a republican leader then neither was Gerry ! Gee an both never in the ‘RA !
Definitely a miscarriage of justice throwing him inside for being assualted by the PSNI, strange decision or just same old justice system ?
Was it merely a coincidence that the appeal was a few days after the RIRA shot one of their own in Derry and he is taken out of ciculation again ?
So much for the brilliant intelligent services M15 outflanked again or is it to their advantage ?
As for ‘Fat-boy-Slim’ and his comrades and their beer bellies strutting around Derry for old Ireland, there are very few of them hungry socialists. I bet you the beer’s not cheap in there sheebeens.

Comment on Sinn Féin to sell water (this weekend)?
on 6 March 2010 at 1:37 pm
Politics and democracy Sinn Fein style, why the continuous sniping from this blog ?
Why no slagging match for the splits happening in the Derry Republican Networks for Unity ? Old dogs of war falling out – shucks ! Again ?
Only our rivers run free ? The last time I paid my rates bill it sure wasn’t cheap for that cup of water to make my tea !

What price justice ?
We all know the cost is unreal and has indeed made the lawyers very rich. Watching the Derry based solicitors spoil themselves with top of the range jeeps and cars is indicative of the excess.
Maybe we are just jealous! Never mind the infighting among the families and their supporters over the expenses allowances and trips to the various court meetings. Does it really matter, we know the truth. The British government murdered innocent civilians that day.
When will we get an enquiry for Joe Public and compensation for me and my family for the pain and suffering we have suffered. Just the same ?

The first casuality of war ? Who cares ?
All the liberation struggles of the past 40 years throughout the world fought for one common item – Justice. Maybe I am deluded or forgetful, but all the radical ideas that the republican movement espoused included the vibrant womens groups. Where is their voice now ? Why are they not screaming from the barricades ?
Ask the families that have dealt with the so-called experts in social services dealing with sexual abuse of children allegations how effective they are. What answers are we getting from Womens Aid etc etc. They too plead the confidentiality clause and expert opinions but little else. Lets hear it from these groups what are societies methods of dealing with this problem.Pathetically useless most of the time but they too claim big salaries.
Now ask yourselves, and give your immediate gut reaction. What if this was done to your child ?
Social justice or kangaroo justice ?
We have the answers and solutions but we choose to ignore them. Live in hope for the following quote or weep !
“Our revenge will be the laughter of our children”.

Comment on “The leadership of the party appeared to not recognise or were unwilling to accept..”

Maybe some of you great intellectuals could read the Irish News column by Paddy Murphy today, very interesting.
Remember the idealism of Tone,Pearse and Sands, a 32 county democratic socialist Republic.
Socialist with a small ‘s’ by the way. We have the banna republic in the south again due to political corruption. Now we have the same in the north the unionists are being finally trumphed. but so too Sinn Fein. They bought into the greed and corruption too. If they had’ve stuck to the core republican ideals they would be sailing into power both north and south. Protestant, Catholic and Dissenter. It would have been a penalty kick but indeed they continued to ride two horses.
A few words from Archbishop Desmond Tutu-”We are in a bad place at the moment in this country…we have let down our guard and quickly forgotten the struggles of the past…please allow us old people to go to the grave smiling, not with our hearts broken.”
Speaking in relation to the power struggles in the ANC and South Africa over corruption by senior political figures.

What are the rules regarding donations/gifts etc ?
Peter has said he immediately asked his wife to arrange repayment of the money through a solicitor and thought it had been done.
He ‘Thought’!!
Now surely the bold Peter, so intelligent and righteous, the brilliant party strategist and fixer should have got written confirmation from these solicitor(s) and perhaps even the developers also.
They were his ‘friends’ too after all ?
Now this is just after learning that the ‘wife’ of 40 years has dogged him, he ‘ thought ‘ he could trust her – again ! Cynical am I ?
The game’s up for the unionists in the province. With less money floating about in GB to buy them off, the Brits are now getting their own kickback. Too-good-to-true loyal ulster unionists corrupt to the core, bringing the shame onto themseles.
Big Ian & Son first and now the right-hand man, who would have believed it ?
With a reduced budget from GB coming up we will all have to hammer out a deal on the basic economics of running a wee six county council.
But, we have the Real Men now getting lucky all of a sudden or is it a case of their paymasters needing a little aggro to bring the war back up to full speed to keep the big wages coming in ?
Now there’s a ‘Thought’.
