Comment on Fermanagh South Tyrone: Some Stats to Ponder

If unionists pulled out of strong ‘nationalist’ areas altoogether and told their supporters to vote SDLP – how would that effect SF with regards seats? Perhaps this would have been a better ploy in FST?

what would be interesting is if SF gave up FST and SB to the SDLP lol – now that would be a commitment to a UI.
I live in SB and have no real desire for a joint candidate here. McDowell is a decent spud who represents everyone reasonably well and I think Rodney Connor will do a job in FST

mmm, some good points. On the one hand, he’s bloody amazing – control, pace, first touch, first time passing, power, workrate… he’s the best think I’ve seen since sliced bread. However, as folk above have highlighted he’s been crap for Argentina AND arsenal are probably quite an easy team for him to play against. If he carves Inter up then he’s one step close to greatness and if he can deliver for the argies then he’ll be remembered for a long long time. At the moment, I’d say he the best player in the world on current form – easily. but has the potential to be the best player ever and I hope he does.

fair play to the DUP and UU. I really didn;t see this coming. FST is gonna be one heck of a battle lol, with strong candidates for unionism, SF and the SDLP. Will be interesting to hear the reaction from the SDLP in particular.

I ain’t holding my breath for unionist unity in FST or SB but there is a chance. Can’t see SF/SDLP coming to any kind of arrangement. If SF took their seats then it could be a possibility in the future but I think the SDLP would be shooting themselves in the foot under the current arrangements. I expect a lot of folk are dissillusioned about the whole thing and with most of the really contentious subjects dealt with we could see a very low turnout.

To be honest, I’m struggling to find out what Pete has done wrong… Okay, the other guy and pete avoided paying capital gains tax – but, neither made any money either… Say robbo had paid 40k for it and sold it for 60k and paid no CGT, then, obviously that would be amiss. Obviously, a few favours have been handed it but it’s hardly earth shattering, although, please let me know if I’ve missed something!!!
