The DUP is dvided but then I suspect both parties will have refusniks. The reality os that the DUP have little to gain out of the proposed deal.
The 60-40 looks remarkably rounded though doesnt it?
As regards snap elections, dont bet on it. There is every possibility of suspension with the powers falling to a local department with new miniter parachuted in from Westminster.
The result will be de-facto devolution all ready for a local minister to take over when its sorted out.
What surprises me more is that so few people have mentioned the desperate playing of Gordon Brown coming up with a devolution date of May 4th, mere hours before the likely election date.
Touny Blair’s ego and desire for legacy left us with the hash of the GFA and the hash of St Andrews with either side of the divide feeling done by the outworkings of each.
Lets try to avoid that again.

Empey’s position is the oddest one of all. He just doesnt seem to have any sure footedness at all…over anything.
Soooo….when will Basil McCrea take over?

I wonder what Gordon Brown agreed with the DUP for their votes on that anti-terror legislation.
And I wonder now, can he stick to it?

So yet nothing more about the press story that Liam Adams was recruited by the British Army’s FRU in the 80s?
No comments? No Martin Ingram?

Initially I came on here saying everyone was being stupid and getting so far ahead of themselves they were up their own behinds again, then as the speculation kept coming I had a moment of doubt. It amazed me how the Tories would be so thick as to even try such moves that were being suggested.
If they were, the idea is dead now. If they werent, thanks for the clarification.
It should have been out before now.
