Why is it that if you’re brought up in Birmingham or Boston with little knowledge of your Irish heritage but happen to have a grandparent from Ireland you can play for Ireland without controversy, but if you’re from Derry and lived on the island of Ireland for your whole life everyone kicks up a stink?
