   Why would McCallister do this whilst McNarry remains in the Party and under review??? Surely that disciplinary procedure must run its course before anyone could be expelled…
   This to me epitomises everything that is wrong with the UUP as an organisation – there is a total lack of discipline (even when it concerns an issue of discipline!!)
   Further stoking the McNarry fire won’t bring anything positive for the UUP and one would have thought McCallister as a leadership contender should have known this.

   Just back home there from tonight’s parade in Armagh. Stood most of the time at the top of Upper English Street and not a hint of trouble.

   Was talking to Quincey briefly and he was in full organisational mode…

   Went well and everyone seemed to disperse quickly…. Probably due to the near zero temps….

   Pity you hadn’t caught it today with the sun shining – a real gem of a place for the City…

   best memories of it are of the Mall Presbyterian Church summer bible club when a youngster… juice and biccies round 10.00am and then the big doors were flung open… the sun beating down on the nicely cut grass and the wind in the chesnut trees and the jumpers for goal posts….

   those were the days!

   That is some result for the Dup’s in Cusher(Armagh) under 2 quotas and take the 2 seats – seems the UUP had well over 3 quotas and lost out – obvious which Party is learning the vote management trade…

   For the UUP it seems like at each election another phase of the ‘self destruct policy’ is implemented…. this surely must be a policy – it has to be…. as it appears to be followed quite closely and in terms of marks out of 10 for meeting targets they are at least at an 8.

   On air in-fighting between MLA’s

   The contrast between the UUP and the DUP could not be greater.

   Coleraine didn’t have any political groupings at the time – back in 1997….

   I was there the day Tony visited though by helicopter… to push the referendum over the line….

   and i wonder if the ‘Blair promises’ still hang above the library entrance in the main building???
