Westminster’s worst wafflers revealed…
WHO are Westminster’s worst wafflers? Clue: they’ve both done a fair bit of waffling about Northern Ireland, and - believe it or not - Peter Hain isn’t one of them.

I’ve got a good idea. Why don’t we do a survey to say which MP is the ugliest? I’ll compile my list of which ones I think are ugly, then I’ll invent some entirely arbitrary measure of uglinees and put them at the top of the list. Then I’ll find some micro-celeb pseudo-academic to put his imprimatur on it and muppets will pay attention to it. Genius.

Of the current bunch, Ian Paisley Junior is extremely skilful in this regard and I would agree with Austin that Michael McGimpsey would be a major contender…
