“Watch both their faces. Delightful.”

An update to Brian’s previous post and to note the embed-ability of the BBC clip.  Via Crooked Timber’s Henry Farrell, who nostalgically asks “Sapphire or Steel?”  Heh.  As Henry says, “Watch both their faces. Delightful.”

  2. She is, isn’t she…?  Sigh.

The look is sheer admonishment, without lowering herself to his obvious pestiferous politician level.  23 and 27 seconds in…superb…

  3. Her modeling skills really come into effect when she plays the cameras starting around the 1 min mark.

Notice her give a sign around 1 min then when the flashes go off she squirms while looking to the left to where the majority of the flashes appear to be going off.

  9. It was like nothing so much as an errant schoolboy appearing chastened before his headmistress as she dressed him down and then, point-by-point, reading to him the future improvements expected from him required to address this behaviour.

I was waiting expectantly for her to produce an Agreement as to Future Behaviour for naughty Phil to sign.

Still it is a bit rich that the Tories who themselves had continuously denied entry rights to the Gurkhas as well as fighting their pay and pensions claims to the death should now be attempting to gain some political mileage from New Labour’s discomfiture.

Not that I care really. Fuck ‘em all, I say and the hoss they rode in on.
