The Place of the JBR In Modern Ireland

It’s now many years since my father-in-law first made me aware of the place of the Jumbo Breakfast Roll in modern Ireland- south of the border. As one who travels the length and breadth of the country in his job, he has been availing of the JBR for a long time now, with the expanding waistline to prove it (isn’t it as well my wife doesn’t read this site...) Now, it appears academic research has identified the JBR as a truly iconic image of Celtic Tigerland. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry....

  3. I do gas station dieting. I ripped the arse out of it today, I had a smoothie at Tesco’s Dunmurry, also a Tesco croissant

two, not one stop at ASDA on the Andytown Road, before and after Tesco, also delayed briefly at 10-30PM in the middle of the darkest zombie infested woods (disused Bridge) down from Drumbeg, for torchlight tucker.

I had a ranch salad when I got in, with a slice or two of polony. I’m gay for not eating properly, having said that, I’m as thin as a rake.

    All of that after 9-00pm,

    G.

  6. Nevin ,

    Good man :)

As a fellow porridge eater I must commend you on your choice of breakfast :) But stick to the original porridge none of this flavoured rubbish they sell nowadays . Porridge (Oatmeal) is great for the cholestrol and would be as good as a wire brush for scouring out the fat lined arteries of that nation of fried mars bar eaters known as the Scots !

BA need to add traditional fish and chips and a hot currie to their menu . That’s keep the punters happy !

  7. “scouring out the fat lined arteries”

Sort of ‘gruel to be grind’, Greenflag.

And here’s the old Delia ‘skimmer’ in action:
