Shoukris expelled from UDA…

AS Andre’s court case takes a twist, it’s announced that the Shoukri brothers have just been kicked out of the UDA. More later…

Absolutley! I am sick and tired of this presure for us all to pretend that we’ve all been up to our ears in terorims and criminality in the past so that we can all have a group hug wallow in our communal guilt and “move on” together,

  2. “But this has changed and today’s very important announcement is just a start on what will become the total transformation that is taking place in the UDA. “

The only positive transformation that I can imagine is needed that the UDA dissolve . So much for the expulsion of a couple of thugs and bully boys—I wasn’t aware that there were people in the UDA who weren’t.  I notice that the Belfast Telegraph reported tonight that it is coming to the anniversary of the murder of that young guy in Lisburn, beaten to death by UDA men.  For a start and a real transformation in the UDA let’s see the organisation and it’s affiliated ex prisoner groups and politicos in Lisburn passing on the details of the people involved in this disgusting crime to the Police.

Yes, I agree entirely about the wee lad in Lisburn.
I wonder within whose UDA domain does Lisburn lie?

  5. Bertie, if you want such a group hug perhaps you should head for Finaghy Crossroads when Mary McAleese comes to town!!

  7. I think its a disgrace that the Shoukri brothers have been constantly victimised and portrayed as ‘thugs’ and ‘criminal gangsters’ over this past several years by the media. The majority of people are naive and narrow minded to believe everything they read in the papers. Both Andre and Ihab Shouhri are very caring, down to earth men, who if anything, have tried to help their local community. Its very convenient the media fail to mention about the community work they have done i.e. setting up youth clubs to keep young people off the streets and out of trouble, coaching local football teams and encouraging young people to aim for their goals in life.
To be frank, I think people should look at the wider picture instead of commenting on people and things they really know nothing about.

  9. If you would have taken the time to actually read my comment, u would have realised that unfortunately u obviously fall into the catagory of being ‘narrow minded.’ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion however I think its abit of a ‘cop out’ for people, like yourself, to judge people you dont actually know. May your opinion/comment be based on the media, religion or origin - it would maybe be an idea to remind you that it takes all kinds to make a world and also in recent years both the media and our justice system have been criticized worldwide for its incompetance and victimisation.
