Sorry, had posted them on the other thread

Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 12:36 PMUUP will go into the lead after the Alliance transfers, but DUP will win the seat with TUV transfers.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 12:41 PMI can’t believe there’s been such a fuss over a by-election which appears to have been contested on the basis, between unionist parties, who is the most bigoted of them all.....
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 12:50 PMSF need 112 transfers from APNI to be at the 16.6% threshold required in the Assembly. Currently on 13.5% but I’d say they would be within a kick in the balls of holding thier LV seat if this is how Gransha and Quilly are playing out.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 12:54 PMOlly, that’s because, although it’s taken 50 years, Paisleyites are now discovering the eternal verity of the phrase “what goes around, comes around”.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 12:54 PMMark, isn’t the Nationalist vote predominantly in the South Down part of the DEA? However I suspect on these figures Sinn Fein would pick up the additional nationalist seat there post boundary changes, at the UUP’s expense.

Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:04 PMbig question how much do the TUV want to embarass the DUP. Any significant transfer to the UUP with a boycott of the the DUP would see the DUP lose, though unlikely
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:04 PMAs a DUP supporter I’m afraid that this is going to give Allister bragging rights even though a large percentage of their vote would have been from DUP supporters firing a warning shot but who will come back in an important election.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:08 PMThis is a bad result for the DUP. Hopefully it will bring some whose heads have been up in the clouds back down to earth.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:11 PMI may be a rotten mathematician but the DUP vote has dropped by 20 pc and TUV has polled just under 20 pc.
Wonder how the Dundela muppets are going to spin this one. Bet there won’t be any chuckles though. If the DUPers do win, they will be saved as though by fire, to quote the Good Book. They will need the TUV second preferences to win. Ha, ha, that will stick in their gullets.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:12 PMI have to say, I called this completly wrong. Given the circumstances, this is an outsranding result for the UUP. Apparently we’re 16 votes ahead after the SF transfers. I’d say the TUV transfers will pull Paul Stewart home, but he might as well have lost.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:15 PMPete;
Slight typo in Alliance trasfer:
DUP 1074
UUP 1119
TUV 801
SF 567
Latest: after SF transfer
DUP 1178
UUP 1194
TUV 828

Don’t bank on it. TUV have been telling their people to transfer UUP.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:19 PMNot really Watchman, it could be read that some people who would have voted DUP are lending their vote as a protest against how the DUP(Paisleys) have been acting recently.
There is no chance that Robinson will repeat the mistakes of the Trimble when the UUP started losing votes.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:19 PMInteresting that the Sinn Féin transfers favoured the DUP over the UUP.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:20 PMTalkback reporting that the UU have win with the TUV transfering to the UU.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:22 PMSeriously, did the DUP only get four transfers from its main ally?
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:22 PMDoes that really mean 17 Sinn Fein transfers to TUV????
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:23 PMwarning shots my ass, this is the real DUP reminding peter and especially jeffrey they have got to far ahead of their true supporters. Changing the DUP in to the UUP tough may bring some uup support but has alienated the real DUP. Also it also tells them you can’t lie to the electorate and hope to get away with it. Over our dead bodies meant Never Never Never not at the opportunity possible
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:23 PMVote TUV get UUP. Well done Jim.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:23 PMThat should be “a hundred a four’.
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:25 PMUUP win by 70 votes
Posted by on Feb 14, 2008 @ 01:25 PMI make that 206 SF transfers to unionists out of 567. I suspect most of them were retransfers of SDLP , Alliance and Green 1st prefs but it would be interesting to have tally confirmation or refutation of that.
