More on Irish nationals in UK elections

Shame you didn’t check the back page of that passport before you got all overexcited, Rory - there you’d have found “Nationality: British” in big black letters, as with all UK passports. Sorry to burst your bubble…

And I just have, Star, and indeed it does. I will now go to bed and pull the covers over my head for shame.
In mitigation I can only plead a mixture of declining eyesight and political zealotry. Not the best of mixes.
