“if it is not already in existence in the domestic structures..”

Environmental pressure group, Friends of the Earth, are reported to have lodged an official complaint to the European Commission that the Department of the Environment had breached EU laws by not setting in place an independent Environmental Protection Agency. And if I’m not mistaken, they’re pointing to the recent High Court Judgement noted here. [Was the Minister listening then? - Ed]

  1. Of course, Pete, recently our beloved Assembly more or less told our High Court to stuff it.
    Wonder if they’ll be so cavalier with the EU Commission?

  2. Im all for smaller government etc, but something has to be done. Northern Ireland’s Waste-water Treatment performance is surpassed by many third world countries.
