Further arrest over Paul Quinn’s murder

Gardai arrested a man in Cavan town during the early hours of this morning in connection with the murder of Paul Quinn a year ago. The man in his 20s is being held at Monaghan Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He is the sixth person to have been arrested in the RoI over Mr. Quinn’s murder, with another six in Northern Ireland; all the others have subsequently been released without charge.

  1. There was a large ‘republican’ wedding in crossmaglen yesterday( Saturday)and someone told me that “the flowers were patriotic colours!” She didn’t say if they were red, white and blue or green, white and orange but the fact that the wedding reception was held in Cavan probably has a bearing on the arrest of the suspect in the Paul Quinn murder case. Good to see that the Gardai are still working away on this case as we just cannot have the kind of people who destroyed Paul Quinn at large in our society.

isn’t it sad how they get their kicks!

Hope the bridegrooms weren’t wearing green dresses and that cheap fake orange tan. They’d look like a bunch of Umpa Lumpas.

  3. This is good news for the Quinn family and the community.  Hopefully both police forces will be able to round up all the culprits.  Don’t forget which political party quickly attempted to defend the murderers.  The same one that is straining to get their paws on policing and justice.  If that happens, they will use their usual trickery to get the murderers out of the life sentences they deserve.
