Collusion is a cross community issue…
Richard Downes had a set of interesting interviews with several victims groups, (sound file) amongst them John Kelly of the Bloody Sunday relatives who was unequivocal, calling the proposed bill diabolical and demanding it be “totally thrown out and thrown in the bin as from today”.
Raymond McCord whose son was a victim of the UVF during its supposed ceasefire:“There has been collusion here, but the collusion has been right across the board, between the two communities. I was able to put my case across concerning young Raymond’s murder, I named informers including the chief of staff of the UVF and I also named another senior Sinn Fein official. The bill is not about justice, it is about keeping a certain small section in Northern Ireland happy”.

It is worse than that it is also about sweeping things under the carpet. It was awfully convenient.
Those who agreed to this, or thought it expedient, are either naïve or are totally depraved. How can anyone trust a Government that thinks this is just fine?
Many thousands have died or had their lives destroyed what they the victims want is just as important as what the perpetrators want. One of the problems of the peace process is that it is framed by the wishes of the guilty, the innocent have no direct involvement. Indeed what was proposed was so odious that it was a little side disk concocted and agreed by HM Gov and SF themselves alone.
Lack of TRUTH, lack of JUSTICE, lack of any civilised standards. NEW Labour NEW values.
