Just a day to go to the Big EU Debate from Belfast

Tomorrow evening we’ll be holding our EU Referendum debate featuring some of the leading pro-leave and pro-stay campaigners. We’ll be pitting Owen Paterson MP (a former Secretary of State) against Vernon Coaker MP (the current Shadow Secretary of State). We’ll have Kate Hoey MP against former Conservative MEP, John Stevens.

The good news is that we’ll be streaming the debate live from 7pm and will have a 30 minute pre-debate programme hosted by Yvette Shapiro of the Belfast Telegraph (from 6:30pm). David McCann and Alan Meban will be covering and tweeting for Slugger O’Toole.

So please watch the live stream from 6:30pm on EUYourChoice.co.uk – and tweet lots using the #euyourchoice tag.

You can also vote in our polls. Get ready and download the app or you can use the Meetoo web page to vote. We’ll announce the Meeting ID tomorrow night.

  • Sir Rantsalot

Don’t think I’m eligible for an ex pat vote any more. But if I can wangle it, ill vote out. A step away from a single EU state is a win for maintaining personal freedoms and control of our own country.

  • Kevin Breslin

I think the amount of freedoms directly depend on the governments you elect anyway. I mean look at the non-EU nations like Ukraine and Belarus compared even with Bulgaria or Romania.

The British government want to scrap the Human Rights Act inside or outside the EU. War is Peace and all that Orwellian double talk.

  • Angry Mob

Scrap is such a loaded word. Replace is more objective.

  • Kevin Breslin

Replace with MORE rights for native people … don’t fall for the lie, it’s complete double talk. We saw this in Northern Ireland, both the Parliament and Direct Rule effectively used State of Emergency measures that punished so many innocent people, it completely contradicted the purpose they were meant for.

  • Angry Mob

Still far from what ‘scrap’ suggests.
