Join us for an evening of debate and entertainment as we look back on the political year in 2015. Our panel of expert speakers is sure to provide lively conversation and analysis. Never mind the Christmas shopping, this will be far more entertaining.
Following the success of last year’s sold out End of Year Review Show we are pleased to bring it back for a second year. Our venue again is the Dark Horse Bar in the Cathedral Quarter. The event will take place on Monday the 14th December 2015. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm sharp. The panel will be:
- Alex Kane – well known local commentator
- Cathy Gormley Heenan – Professor of Politics at UU
- Chris Donnelly – one of our best known bloggers
- Katy Hayward – Senior Lecturer in Sociology at QUB
The chairs for the evening will be our own Alan Meban and David McCann.
The venue
The venue is the beautiful Dark Horse Bar. This is directly opposite the Duke of York Bar in the Cathedral Quarter. Here is the location on the map… A full bar will be available and they also serve a full range of tea, coffee etc for the non-drinkers. We are extremely grateful to The Dark Horse/Duke of York for being one of the sponsors of this event. Complementary light snacks will also be available on the night.
I help to manage Slugger by taking care of the site as well as running our live events. My background is in business, marketing and IT. My politics tend towards middle-of-the-road pragmatism, I am not a member of any political party. Oddly for a member of the Slugger team, I am not that interested in daily politics, preferring to write about big ideas in society. When not stuck in front of a screen, I am a parkrun Run Director.
