I met up with John Arovosis and his America Blog colleague Joe Sudbury whilst here in Washington a few nights ago, and we recorded an interview in the street… It was good fun, though I failed miserably to fulfill John’s demands that I briefly explain the history of the whole problem of politics and identity in Northern Ireland… Nonetheless, it was great fun and good to meet up with John on his home beat…

Failed miserably / Not at all an excellent resume given the time constraint. Anybody who could briefly explain the history of the whole problem of politics and identity in Northern Ireland in 8 or 9 minutes would not be of this earth
The locals have been trying to figure it out for some several centuries and even now some are still scratching away at the never ending onion peels . By the time they get to the last peel there’ll be a new universe and the USA will have had universal health care for several eons
Very interesting and quite the feat of articulation considering John’s limited attention span.
