70 sign up for classes!

Wed 20 January 2010, 7:35pm

Láinseáileadh an clár oibre nua Ghlór na Móna aréir thuas i nGaelscoil na Móna.

Is eagraíocht é Glór na Móna a dhéanann seachas a bheith ag caint amháin agus is dream iad a dhéanann a chuid obair ar an talamh, go háitiúil, i measc a muintire féin. Cá bhfuil an scéal anseo a deir sibh?Chláraigh 70 do na ranganna i mbliana. Sin moll mór daoine agus is fianaise é gur féidir an difear a dhéanamh má dhéantar an obair ar an talamh – ‘all politics is local’ mar a dearfá.

Más féidir leis an dream seo leanúint leis an obair seo beidh muid ag plé le breac-Ghaeltacht sa cheantar seo i gceann fiche bhliain agus mar a dúirt mé an tseachtain seo caite, tá ocras ar na daoine do rud éigin úr – is féidir le gluaiseacht na Gaeilge sin a shasamh.

Dar liomsa, dá dtiocfadh linn dreamanna eile ar nós Glór na Móna a tharraingt isteach i gConradh na Gaeilge, thiocfadh linn gluaiseacht láidir cosúil le CLG a thógáil, láidir ar an talamh, láidir ag an barr.

    Dia duit Gael…
Ba mhaith liom a fhoghlaim chun labhairt na teanga.

I live in England though and there are no classes (to my knowledge) in my local area (Bristol). Can you suggest any online resources to get me started?

I think Raidió Fáilte do some lessons on a Wednesday evening.. Do you know if they’re any good?

    Go raibh míle maith agat.
    John

Thanks for the link – Raidió Fáilte’s website said they run classes at 9pm on Wednesdays but there wasn’t one this evening… Maybe their schedule is out of date.
