“Sinn Féin TD Arthur Morgan was last night unavailable to answer queries..”

Tue 5 January 2010, 7:33pm

And in related news, today’s Irish News notes

Sinn Féin TD Arthur Morgan was last night unavailable to answer queries about the scale of Liam Adams’s involvement in the party in Co Louth.

Now that there is photographic, and archived, evidence which contradicts his previous assertion that “Although [Liam Adams] was a party member, he was never an officer”, “He was not on the richter scale at all”…

“Bizarrely, Liam Adams is quoted in the Irish Independent in July 1998 as a “youth community leader” in Dundalk talking about a “very well organised” paedophile ring which may have links in Donegal. Liam Adams previously lived in Donegal.” .. Suzanne Breen

Are you missing a Donegal angle, Peter?

If Liam Adams is from Belfast and if he sojourned in Donegal, it would be likely he knew the 6 co Provos billetted there. Was the Donegal pedo ring associated with them and has the fate of Denis Donaldson anything to do with it?

Aye, cause undercover/on the run rebels are going to hang out with very visible members of the Adams family.

    Why am I even bothering.

Hold that thought, cherish it and revisit it every time you feel the urge to engage in dishonest sycophancy.

Why would they not? Sure Donegal, Bundoran and Dundalk were packed with so many of them it was hard to stop falling over them. And they were all absolutely safe as the republic wouldnt extradite them

But they were being watched, Cynic 2. A neighbour of mine was in the RUC back in the early 70s. My family took a trip down the west coast. While strolling down the main street in Bundoran I saw him walking along with another man. There was an initial panic in his eyes when he saw me. I just winked and walked on. This is the first time I have related that story; safe enough now;I’m sure he’s long retired.

As Joe says, they would have been watched and hanging out with known republicans would only draw attention to themselves – hardly good for an active volunteer. In fact the IRA Green Book, orders volunteers not to associate with known republicans.

Did he think you might report him for illegally engaging in intelligence-gathering activity in another sovereign jurisdiction, thereby subjecting him to the risk of arrest? But perhaps he was there on a shopping trip or was working with C3 in Ireland. If not, I’m sure you would have reported an illegal act to the Irish state if you beleived it to be such.

I’m guessing that you have never associated with IRA members or frequented the same pubs and nightclubs as them. Furthermore, Liam Adams was either billeted in the homes of sympathisers (where their children could have been at risk if Gerry is correct that he is a paedo)or billeted in properties owned/rented by the movement; as would have been the case with legitimate OTRs. It was SOP to have multiple people per billet as space permitted; indeed a veteran recently told me of one such bedroom apartment in Co Monaghan where 7 were crammed in.
Your pointless diversion attempt is baseless and inane.

  18. Mr Crowley, I’m still waiting on an answer from you on a post from some days ago. However, that can wait, could you answer me this, when it becomes public that a leading figure within the dissident republican movement also has a conviction for pedophilia, what measures do you think should be taken against him? You now have the opportunity to tell everyone on slugger, and the many that read it, the actions that should be taken against someone who, as of 0238hrs 06/11/10, hasn’t been brought to court, but is a well known child abuser and a senior member of one of the ira’s.

So, is Morgan the one who is off the richter scale or just a liar?

Denis Donaldson was assued by Gerry Adams. brother of ex Donegal resident Liam, that he would be dead safe in Donegal. Was this because there was a Drovo pedophile ring in Donegal? Was Denis, a womaniser and close Gerry confidant, compromised by MI5 because we was also a childiser?
