“there is a political logic at work here..”

Wed 18 March 2009, 6:55pm

US Presidential praise for the response to the recent republican paramilitary murders carries echoes of Jonathan Powell’s “more like politicians now, than capos” line [the video's gone but the quotes remain]. The “people”, after all, have been there before [Most of them - Ed]. Indeed. And what other viable political option did those politicians directly connected to the Northern Ireland Executive actually have? Other than to embrace the hypocrisy Mick has identified elsewhere. At openDemocracy Robin Wilson is, despite serious reservations, optimistic for the future. Not that that necessarily precludes the scenarios others have suggested..

They are written by a horse, Sammy. You know, Mr. Ed?

Code word – name. Scary how often these things occur.

Pete, I dont quite get the your malarkey either.

What is the point of writing something and then adjusting it – is it adjusted after you first ‘publish’ it ? if not, whats the point of it? Is it for emphasis?

By a ‘little voice’ – do you mean that it is like an after thought but occurring at the same time – to suggest to the reader that there is another point that should be considered in tandem – it does create the impresion to the uninitiated that are 2 people writing the piece.
