I know it’s only the first few days, but change is already evident under the Obama adminstration.. Via the Professor. From the New York Times

Two missile attacks launched from remotely piloted American aircraft killed at least 15 people in western Pakistan on Friday. The strikes suggested that the use of drones to kill militants within Pakistan’s borders would continue under President Obama.

Meanwhile on the [US] domestic front..

The Obama administration fell in line with the Bush administration Thursday when it urged a federal judge to set aside a ruling in a closely watched spy case weighing whether a U.S. president may bypass Congress and establish a program of eavesdropping on Americans without warrants.

Then there’s the ban restrictions on lobbyists within the administration.. Meanwhile, with concerns about borrowing globally, some news on China’s reaction..

It would appear that Obama will follow a similar path to Bush when it comes to protecting the US. He has already permitted the US military to strike at an AQ target resulting in ‘innocents’ also being killed. He has violated the national integrity of Pakistan in the process.

It’s interesting how there have been no protests or outcries from the liberal media or anti-war websites about these actions. Seems like it’s okay for Democrats but not for Republicans to employ such tactics in the ‘war on terror’.

O yes, that’s right, Obama is no longer fighting a war on terror, he has declared a new war: a war on the unborn in developing countries.

The latter example has already been demonstrated, at least historically speaking, by Robert Kennedy, who did not trouble the courts for permission to get wiretaps, but simply asked his older brother for them.

As for the missile strike against AQ militants, well, there is always some bloke who doesn’t get the word.
