Don’t you just love paternalistic politicians. If this goes the way of the anti-smoking social engineering, fat people should start saving for the fines they will have to pay in the future.

At least he wasn’t claiming to obey God’s law. He could do worse that recommend those two small fishes from the sea of Gallilee. So low in saturated fats.

‘He will call for “a fundamental change in the way we live our lives”. ‘

Just like all the MPs, including Labour backbenchers and govt ministers, who voted to retain the current Westminster expenses system which satisfies their appetites and egos?

If politicians, local ones included, are serious about the fight against obesity, will they stop eating pork?

‘He could do worse that recommend those two small fishes from the sea of Gallilee.’

C’mon Brian. The culinary insight behind the deal that led to the current devolved govt was that a some Donegal Catch fish fingers in combination with a few Ormo Pan loaves would feed, and bind, the masses…and keep them happy over prolonged holiday periods when gatherings do not occur

Alan Johnson asks the people to trust him on a most important issue of public morality – fat fucking chance he has!

If obesity is the single most threat to the lives of our children why not simply shoot that cunt, Ronald McDonald instead of fruitlessly pusuing that endlessly elusive and really-not-very-threatening bogeyman, Osama bin Laden?

  8. Harry Flashman says:

Of course the answer to that Rory is that obesity isn’t remotely a threat to the lives of our children but nanny state worshipping, big government loving, interfering, planning, radical social engineering lefties much admired by people like you are a massive threat to our children and to our families and our liberties generally, now you see why we normal people hate them so much.
