Brown not convincing over DUP ‘non deal’…

Thu 12 June 2008, 2:53pm

JUST watching the Prime Minister’s briefing and he’s strongly insisting that there’s been no deal with the DUP. I’m not sure I’m convinced, and the Press certainly isn’t, judging by the continuing intense questioning. They are hugely sceptical. Brown’s over here next week, so maybe things will become clearer then.

He says no, the press says yes and you’re not convinced. Gee, now I don’t know what to think.

Does anyone really think that Brown would not have offered them the sun, moon and stars? He offered all sorts of things to his own wavering party membes – given the tightness of the vote, is it even slightly likely that he left it to the DUP to follow their own consciences?

    Time will, of course, tell.

On the Today programme Campbell seemed to insinuate that the deal would be announced next week when they meet again with the Government.

People doing mighty strange things. Davis foolish IMHO. Lib Dems not standing and surely after about 3 minutes reflection Labour won’t either. (“Tories wasting your time and money”)

Could end up with the “liberal” Tories facing the BNP in favour of 42 day internment….not sure Mr Davis or the Tories are going to enjoy this by-election much…….

Yeah, Davis looks like a twat he is going to win a by election with noone standing against him. Hopefully the turn out will be down and he gets less votes than in the general election.
