Why are spides and millies always portrayed as working class people?
I’ve been around enough to know that there are plenty of middle class spides and millies. You can indeed polish turds.

It depends on your definition of spide, doesn’t it? There may be culturally deficient parasites in every class, but is that really a complete definition?
This comic strip is dumb and lazy. Hey, look spides,! They sign on the dole and are quite sectarian.
Wow, the artist is really working a vein of dangerously subversive satire there.

I suppose it does depend on a person’s definition of the term spide. However, my definition is not class based. Spides have no class, in both senses of the word.
Better still, spidehood (pardon the pun) crosses national boundaries too. I’m a long way from the aul’ turf, but still bump into a few spides once in a while.
Damien OG, you’re right…there’s nothing worse than middle class spides (Andytown an ‘s’Lagmore are full of em). Stuck up millies and chavs who are one generation away from poverty…mind you that ‘Spideman’ is a fair representation of a lot of the scum that I hang out with here in da ghetto…
