  2. My uncle went broke trying to raise chickens in the desert heat. My folks had me help him once in a while and I got a nice shiny quarter from the cheap bastard and many other parables on human nature in the 110 degree heat and chickenshit.

Whenever one of the flock shows a spot of blood, the entire flock starts pecking at the spot with their beaks. You find them dead in the shit on the floor with a hole pecked damned near clean through them,

The Washington Post just did a hit piece on Kerry to the tune of poor, ignored, sad John Kerry. No one pays any attention to this only solitary figure, he’s always been a loner, etc.

It’s cooler than it was in Cloyd’s chicken house but the flock is active and there still is a ton of chickenshit flying about.

Maybe the loss extended Kerry’s life at the expense of a couple truckloads of 20 year old double amputees. He could be in the middle of this shitstorm and still be saddled with a republican congressional majority since the reactionary bastards that prolong this war would have one of ‘dem others to blame for their stupidity instead of just Iran & Syria.

So the pin is in Dubya’s voodoo doll instead.

See, Pedro, my glass is still half full.

On the other hand, were the Dem’s worth the cop in their pants, they’d have the courage of their conviction and pull the plug, cutting off funding for the war and bring the conflict to an end.

Instead, their vacilating, preferring to damn the sausage whilst feeding meat into the grinder.

Were they honest, they would vote a resolution laying claim to the war if, ultimately, oil’s well that ends well, whilst disclaiming responsibility if things continue on their way i into the proverbial crapper.

As for Kerry, he’ll stay the junior senator until Teddy K stumbles off into the sunset, with a veritably political bloodbath to follow. Kerry is cutting down, however — he’s now Irish only once a year, what with Billy Bulger’s annual roasts a thing of the past.

  4. Dear Phreddy,

Peck, peck, peck. Same chickenshit, different loser, different day.

BTW, Brainiac, his grandfather was an Austrian Jew, not an Irishman.

No shite, Sherlock… he was still Irish twice a year — Billy Bulger’s annual roast and election day – ethno-political expediency at its best.

He, like Hillary, didn’t “discover” / disclose their heritage until it was deemed politically expedient to do so.

Kerry has a job for life as Jr. Senator. When Teddy finally decides to quit, he’ll get to be senior senator, pretty much for as long as he wants the job… barring a political resurrection worthy of a religious text, that where he’ll stop. That’s just Massachusetts politics. More than a few Reps are crying in their beer over Kerry’s “decision” not to run again. Marty Meehan, iirc, has a $5 million war chest and nothing to run for, with Kerry deciding an office in the hand beats another run for the White House.

It ain’t pecking if it’s the truth.

  6. didn’t ……. disclose their heritage until it was deemed politically expedient to do so.

    Liar.

In the late 1980′s he learned from a relative that his grandmother had been born Jewish. Over the next several years he learned that his grandfather was Jewish as well. He brought it up in an interview in 1993 on the McLaughlin Report.

He didn’t run for re-election for another three years. He had an unassailable seat in the Senate then and now.

peck, peck, peck. Nothing ever changes, different day, different loser, same chickenshit.
