There’s no clarity, however, on the monies collected by the UUP in 2004 when Ronald Lauder organised a major fund raiser for them in an exclusive Manhattan restuarant. Over £100k collected.

The old “oversight” defence, works everytime !!

    (1) sorry we did not reveal the two bank accounts, it was an oversight, we have put in place procedures that will prevent this from happening in the future.

Thats alright then, don’t do it again.

    (2) sorry we did not pay tax on assets acumilated, it was an oversight, we have put in place procedures that will prevent this from happening in the future.
Thats alright then, don’t do it again.

    (3) sorry we, Tony Blair, Lord Levy, did not declare the cash for honours, it was an oversight, we have put in place procedures that will prevent this from happening in the future.

Thats alright then, don’t do it again.

Not exactly “cleared”. After all, Cunningplan House has promised to improve its record keeping.

More “wrong, but not liable to criminal prosecution”.
