    Thanks for that, Michael. A very heart-warming tale indeed and cheered me up after the dreariness of all the Twalfth brouhaha.

    I thought how appropriate his new home is to be in a town called Kipling as his adventure might have been inspired by the spirit of the UK’s favourite poem (if not mine), Rudyard Kipling’s If.

    Oh, God! Herself was peeking over me shoulder just earlier. She just ‘harrumphed’ and said “Tell the I’ll sawp you for any another useless old drunkard, provided he can at least dance the Polka”.

    Since she has never before expressed any interest in Polish dance I don’t quite know what to make of this remark.
