Hardy sentenced to 6 years

Tue 4 April 2006, 3:57pm

After Leonard Hardy pleaded guilty to all charges it was only a question of what length of sentence would be returned in a German court for the 5 charges of attempted murder and another charge of attempting to cause an explosion during an IRA bomb attack on a British Army base in Osnabruck in 1989. Rather than the 9 to 12 years the others involved received, when they were convicted in 1995, Hardy’s guilty plea, and his not contesting extradition, seems to have contributed to the shorter 6 year sentence he received today. Btw the BBC seems slightly confused about the timeline since Hardy’s arrest.

Have to agree with that rather blunt post. Do you ever come on here and say anything other than what amounts to purile provocation?

IF..classic case of the small word with big meaning. Who knows whether he/she is or not. Never really thought it over to be honest, have to admit. Someone (other than said Martin whos obviously biased in this respect)may be able to shed a bit of light on that.

Dirty old business it was and is in this country alright plenty of provocative works going on, though some of the depths and complexities that some people reckon that all sides went to I just don’t buy. Reason? I don’t think they are THAT smart to think it all through.

  8. Viewers here should know that ‘Martin Ingram’ recommended that Hardy be hanged on the RBB.

Apparently it is because ‘Steak Knife’aka DUKE went on the rampage after Downing Street and the FRU tried to set him up with the PIRA Council as a BA tout by the cull on The Rock.

The operation was so overdone, though, that ‘SK’ got a new lease on life as a terrorist, the bombing campaign that people like Hardy carried out forcing Britain to come to the bargaining table.

It took a lot of work by ‘Ingram’, Scap et al. to help achieve this.

    Hi,

    The man admitted his crimes.

The man is more than likely going to come out of jail to a British state with a British police force manned by Republicans. Nothing underhand on that one lads just plain old facts.

Lets remember play the ball not the man unless the new rules have changed?

    Have a good one. Marty

  12. Marty, have you forgotten that you have stated many times that you were an important operator in all these actions during your tours of duty in N. I. with the FRU? So discussing your activities is not playing the man – an ad hominem attack on a poster – but an inquiry into Britain’s ‘dirty war’.

So stop acting like you are just an innocent poster when, in fact, you are a principal in what we are discussing. You are as fair game as the Brigadier, ‘Mags’, Brian Nelson, Scap, ‘Steak Knife’, etc. ad nauseam.

    Trowbridge,

How very British the phrase ‘fair game’ sounds. In Ireland we prefer the word ‘vermin’.

  14. But wouldn’t that amount to playing the people, lib2016, rather than the substance?

I have certainly called ‘Martin Ingram’ far worse than what you suggest on other sites, and I am not English nor do I pretend to be. I am an American WASP from way back, but you wouldn’t know it from reading my posts.

    Trowbridge,

‘Play the ball, not the man’ is a great motto and one I heartily support. I was simply offering you some help with the local dialect. How can you have thought otherwise?
